Who We Are
Our modern practice is located in Vanderbijlpark, easily accessible on the corner of Beethoven street. We believe that being active is part of life and everything we do includes movement, when that movement becomes restricted, it causes pain and daily activities become limited.
Our aim is to get you back to your pain-free lifestyle, focusing on the cause of the problem and not only the painful symptoms involved. Our treatments are individualised using a dynamic, evidence-based approach to provide quality and innovative care. This is complimented by modern equipment and the latest technology.

My name is Carien Novais
A dynamic and passionate individual with a love for what I do. I believe that being active is essential to quality of life. I grew up in an active family and love any physical/ fitness related challenge. After becoming a mother, I gained a special interest in Women's Health, understanding the unspoken struggles women face before, during and after birth.
Before studying Physiotherapy, I completed my BSc Human Movement Sciences and Physiology degree at the University of Potchefstroom and in 2017, I qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Pretoria. I completed my community service year at Mamelodi Hospital. I then joined a busy practice in Pretoria, working in a private practice and Hospital setting. ReActive's doors opened in 2022 in Nelspruit, but as life changes we recently moved to the Vaal.
My treatment approach is highly individualised to suit the needs of my patient. I believe that we are a team, and that recovery continues at home with supporting guidance and self-dedication.
